London: Giving a new twist to the traditional form of Yoga, Buti Yoga has subverted everything that people thought they knew about the practice.

Fusion of the traditional yoga moves with tribal dance and plyometrics claims to greatly benefit both physical and mental wellbeing, reported the Independent.

Founded by celebrity trainer Bizzie Gold in 2012, this new form of yoga practice has even found a place in the workout routine of stars such as Jennifer Love Hewitt.

It is composed of a variety of different movements, including vinyasa-style yoga, tribal-inspired dancing, and plyometric exercises and is paired with pumping music.

Unlike other forms of yoga which are usually considered as soothing, Buti yoga practitioner should surely have a sweat bucket on their side.

The workout involves the spiral structure technique (SST), a signature strengthening technique, which activates all areas of the abdominal muscles by using spiral movements, as opposed to linear ones.

As per reports, a 75-minute workout could burn 800 to 1,000 calories.
