Districts’ reorganisation will create over 3252 new posts

The re-organisation of districts in Telangana State might lead to the creation of 3,252 new posts.

This was revealed by the officials during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao at the State Secretariat on Wednesday. CMO Additional Principal Secretary Shanti Kumari and other senior officials participated in the meeting wherein detailed discussions were held on formation of new districts, mandals and revenue divisions. The officials told the Chief Minister that as per preliminary estimate at least 3,252 new posts would be created due to reorganisation of districts. A majority of posts will be created in Police and Revenue Departments.

The important posts will be created in the offices of Superintendents of Police, Collectorate, Revenue Division office, Tehsildars, MDO, etc., It has been decided to fill the new posts by giving promotions to existing staff.

The Chief Minister asked the officials to ensure that official work in the offices of new districts begins from the first day of their formation. (INN)
