District Collectors with Chief Minister

Giving a clarion call to Collectors to develop the new districts as developmental centers in a conducive environment Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today asserted that the reorganisation should be taken up in a liberal way rather than thumb rule to ensure that the administration cater to future needs of people. Reportedly giving his nod for 24 or 25 districts rather than 30 districts for which the collectors prepared plans, KCR asked them to take serious measures against corruption and ensure that the people will not be unhappy at the split of their mandals, divisions and districts when additions and deletions take place based on geographical conditions. Addressing the last day of two-day Collectors Conference at MCR HRD here on Wednesday, KCR favoured a public opinion followed by grama sabhas while dividing the mandals enabling the people get all facilities within the purview of new districts which are only at 60 km to 70 km away. As welfare and easy hassle administration being the motto, it is time for the officials to avoid personal opinion and political comments and give priority to human angle at rural level while adopting latest technologies for instant growth.
