Indore :The district administration today banned carrying of water bottles and its sale inside the Holkar Stadium here where an ODI between India and South Africa will be played on October 14.
The move comes in the wake of the recent T2O held in Cuttack where angry spectators hurled water bottles onto the Barabati Stadium.
“However, the district authorities are considering to allow spectators to carry polythene water pouches to the stadium,” District Collector P Narhari told PTI.
“We have decided neither to allow spectators to carry water bottles inside the stadium nor sale of it during the match,” he said.
Shameful and unruly crowd behaviour marred the second T20 International on October 5 when the fans hurled water bottles into the stadium in Cuttack, prompting newly elected BCCI President Shashank Manohar to seek a report from Odisha Cricket Association about the incident.
Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association Secretary Milind Kanmadikar said that online sale of tickets for the match will be held between October 10 and 11.
He said the tickets for the clash will also be sold from the banks counter here on October 11 and 12.
