After the dissolution of Andhra Pradesh Waqf Board, distribution of its assets and staff between both the states is in progress. After the division separate Waqf Boards will start functioning for both the states.
Telangana government has appointed Secretary Minority Welfare as the authorising officer while appointment of Chief Executive Officer is yet to be done. It is said that the government has decided to retain the present CEO Mohammed Asadullah. After the division Andhra Pradesh government will have to appoint separate authorising officer and CEO. According to reliable sources appointment of officers has become a difficult task due to lack of Muslim officers.
