Hyderabad: Harassment by husband and his cousin drives a woman to commit suicide at Tolichowki. According to Humayun Nagar police her husband and his cousin are being held responsible for the suicide.
According to police sources, 18-year-old, Saba Samreen got married to Mohammed Zakir, R/O Meraj Colony, Tolichowki a year ago. Husband started harassing her a few days after the marriage. Assistant Commissioner of Police Asif Nagar Mr. Ghousuddin told that case has been registered against Samreen’s husband Zakir and his relatives and investigations are underway.
According to police sources Samreen’s husband didn’t care about her; he left her at her natal house 4 months ago. As long as she was with him, he used to make indecent allegations against her.
Samreen started working at a cloth shop at Banjara Hills to eke out a livelihood. Meanwhile her husband’s cousin started harassing her. He stalked her and insisted to marry him. He warned to outrage her modesty if she refused to marry him. Dejected over this the woman committed suicide on November 16.
