Dissident TRS leaders complain to police against leadership

Hyderabad, June 15: Dissident Telangana Rashtra Samiti leaders Ravindra Naik and A Chandrasekar today complained to the police against the party leadership for ”attacking” them with the help of ‘goondas.

‘ The rebel leaders lodged a complaint with the Banjara Hills police, pressing for invocation of Prevention of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

Mr Naik and former TRS MP and ex State Minister Chandrasekar, who had come to attend the State Executive Committee meeting, were foricibly sent out of the party office. In the melee, the shirt of Mr Naik was torn.

In the wake of severe poll drubbing, Mr Naik had written a open letter to Party President K Chandrasekar Rao either to apologise for neglecting tribals and women in allocation of party ticket or treat his letter as resignation letter and accept the same.

The TRS leadership had accepted the resignation of Mr Naik from the party, senior leader N Narasimha Reddy told reporters here today.

The party had placed under suspension Alla Chandrasekhar, a Dalit TRS leader last night for raising the banner of revolt against party President.
