Dissident TDP MLA Chinnam Rama Kotaiah meets Naidu

Nuzvid TDP MLA Chinnam Rama Kotaiah who has declared that he would not contest on TDP ticket in 2014 elections, has met the party chief Chandra Babu Naidu here on Saturday. After meeting Naidu, Rama Kotaiah has denied the media reports about him, which also said that he might join the YSR Congress.

Kotaiah has said he had no discontent in the party. He has also denied reports that he was planning to join the YSRC. He said he only said he would not contest in the next elections and not that he would quit the party. He said he would continue only in the TDP. He said he met Naidu only to talk about by-elections.

Rama Kotaiah has created commotion through his statement. Naidu has called him up and asked him to meet him. TDP Krishna district president Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and some other leaders also held discussions with Rama Kotaiah.

He has recently said that he would decide on his political future only after discussing the matter with his followers. Rama Kotaiah has said he was not in a position to work for the victory of the party in the next elections as some leaders have been boycotting him. It was also reported in the media that YSR Congress party leaders Samineni Udaya Bhanu and others held discussions with the TDP MLA. (NSS)
