Dispute between two Left Front MPs arises over seat sharing

Kolhapur, September 27: A dispute has arised between two MPs – Sadashivrao Mandlik and Raju Shetti over seat sharing in Third Front in Kolhapur district for upcoming assembly election.

Mandlik was elected to Lok Sabha as rebel NCP candidate from Kolhapur and Raju Shetti elected to Lok Sabha as Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghtana party from Hatkanangale constituency.

Now, for assembly election in the district, both these MPs have formed Left Front. But in Kagal assembly onstituency, which is home ground of MP Mandlik, he has fielded his son Sanjay Mandlik as Left Front candidate, while MP Raju Shetti fielded former MLA of Kagal Sanjay Ghatage as Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghtana candidate.

In Radhanagari assembly constituency MP Mandlik has decided to give support to his group’s candidate but he didn’t declared the name of the candidate till date because so many candidates are aspirants for this seat. But Raju Shetti has decided to field his Sanghtana candidate Jalandhar Patil from this constituency as his candidate. .
