Dismiss Nitish Kumar government says LJP

New Delhi, April 07: The LJP today demanded the dismissal of the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government, claiming it had no right to continue after it took the “unconstitutional” step of setting-up the Mahadalit Commission.

“Nitish Kumar should resign. If he does not do it on his own, the Governor should dismiss his government. We will meet the Bihar Governor to seek the dismissal of the state government,” party chief Ram Vilas Paswan told reporters here.

His demand came a day after National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) Chairman Buta Singh in Patna accused the Bihar government of not properly implementing the benefits of reservation for the scheduled caste community and criticised it for setting up a Mahadalit Commission, which he described as “unconstitutional”.

Paswan said he welcomed the NCSC Chairman’s remarks.

“It vindicates our stand on the issue.
