Discriminatory attitude of Transco in Koratla

Transco is adopting discriminatory attitude which is causing a lot of inconvenience to the Muslims in Koratla of Kareem Nagar district. They are cutting down electricity just before Iftar time. Many residents of Koratla telephoned to Siasat Office and complained about it. The current is switched off exactly before Magrib prayer and it is restored after the Azan is called. This speaks of the discriminatory attitude of the officials of Transco. At the sunset, the Muslims break fast for which announcement is made through Siren. For Siren and Azan, loudspeaker is used. If there is no current, it cannot be used.

Although the Govt. of Telangana has issued instructions to electricity officials for the supply of uninterrupted electric supply during Ramazan but it had no effect on the communal minded official of Koratla. If at all, electric current is to be disconnected, the timings should be altered so as to facilitate Muslim worshippers.

It is requested that an investigation should be made and the officials who are deliberately playing mischief should be punished which is causing disrepute to the Govt.
