Bangaru Telangana dream was seen by minorities before formation of Telangana, but following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in two states, the manner adopted by the government with regard to distribution of departments poses thereat of discrepancy to minorities of Telangana. The committee formed by the government in connection with distribution of budget, assets and staff had proposed 58 pc share to Seemandhra and 42 share to Telangana. Although this ratio may be true for other departments but for Minority Welfare Department this ratio tantamount to injustice with Telangana.
Special secretary Minority Welfare Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel IAS has proposed to change the present ratio of division because Muslim population is more in Telangana compared to Seemandhra. Hence Telangana should be given 58 pc while Seemandhra should be given 42. However government turned down the proposal.
