Disabled man beaten to death over minor dispute

New Delhi, April 27: A physically-challenged man was beaten to death allegedly by four persons, including two minors, in outer Delhi following an argument over a cricket ball falling into his house, police said today.

The incident took place in K N Katju Marg last evening and the deceased has been identified as Jaswant Singh (35), who lived with his family in the locality.

Some boys were playing cricket at a park near Singh’s house and a ball fell into his house. His mother was standing with one of her grandsons outside the house and she asked the boys to be more careful while playing.

“She told them her grandson had a narrow escape. This made the boys angry who got into an argument with her. Singh also joined the argument and in a fit of rage, the boys hit him,” a senior police official said.
