Dipika, Joshna in last 8

Chennai, April 20: Dipika Pallikal and Joshna Chinappa kept Indian hopes alive by advancing to the quarterfinals of the WISPA Indian Squash Challenger series here Wednesday.

Second seeded Dipika, ranked 23, beat Siyali Waters of South Africa 11-7, 11-7, 8-11, 11-0 in 38 minutes, while fourth seeded Joshana overcame Czech Olga Ertlova at 11-9, 11-3, 11-5 in 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, two other Indians, Aparajitha Balamurugan and Lakshya Ragavendran, both qualifiers, lost their matches, as did Anaka Alankamony.
