Dilliwala Khazana Festival to start on December 1

NEW DELHI: Experience the best of Delhi’s culinary, musical and cultural heritage at the Dilliwala Khazana Festival from Friday through Sunday.

The extravaganza is being held at the Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj, read a statement.

To feed the soul of the music lovers, the festival will be a fusion of traditional sufi and folk music by the popular Nizami Brothers, Bally Sagoo, Copy Cats, Tritha and DillikiBilli Collective.

A special performance by Padmashri Awardee, Dadi Pudumjee’s The Ishara Puppet Theatre Trust will be a key attraction at the festival.

Urdu storyteller Fouzia Dastango, Improvised dancer Parvati Tampi and Kathak dancer Reetu Jain will also be performing at the three-day festival.

There will also be performances by Sergio Dinarte (bass and vox effects), Ritika Singh (rap, vocals and theatre) Madhusudan Baul (BaulGeet, AnandaLahiri), Kartikey Vashisht (flute and wind instruments) and Mohit Lal (tabla and percussions) and Trippy Sama.

To satiate the appetite of food lovers, the festival will have street food from places like Khan Mughlai – Daryaganj, Netaji ki Chaat – Chandni Chowk, Rajeev Bhai ke Special Omlette, Changezi Chicken – Ballimaran, Indo Kulfi- Karol Bagh, wide variety of momos – Momo.in, Pyar Mohabat Sharbat – Matia Mahal, Daulat ki Chaat and Taufeeq ki Biryani -Chitli Qabar in Purani Dilli among others.

The Dilliwala Khazana Festival will also have curated flea shops with assorted attractions offering traditional and ethnic designs, specialty henna, ittars, authentic aromatic spices and the choicest bangles.
