New Delhi, May 11 (ANI): Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh hailed the decision taken by the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi to oust cabinet ministers Pawan Kumar Bansal and Ashwani Kumar, post ”railgate” and ”coalgate” scams.
Commenting further on the image of Congress he said, “Congress has again made it clear that even if a slightest thing is wrong with a certain minister he will resign, showing we don”t endorse corruption. This has never been the same with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The decision taken by Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi is correct.” Lashing out at BJP he said, “Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) never allowed the Parliament to function because their dirty side would come to the fore.” Meanwhile Communist Party of India (CPI) said: ” Congress have twisted the rules, they have been protagonists of most of the scams, one of their ministers had to be forced by the Supreme Court to resign. They cannot manage their own party nor can they manage the Cabinet, they are good for nothing.” Earlier on Friday, Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal and Law Minister Ashwani Kumar, who were caught in the web of allegations of corruption and interference with graft probe respectively, submitted their resignation.
