Hyderabad, September 07: Congress AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh today consoled the family of former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy who killed in a chopper crash on September 2.
Mr Singh who arrived here today, visited the residence of the late Chief Minister at camp office and met the family members and expressed his grief over the death of charismatic and people’s leader.
Later, talking to newsmen he said he had come here only to console YSR’s family as he did not attend the funeral.
He said the excellent work done by YSR and the welfare schemes and developmental programmes in the state for the welfare of people would continue in future.
Chief Minister K Rosaiah, APCC President D Srinivas, former PCC President K Keshava Rao, Chairman Security Committee and close aide of Rajasekhara Reddy K V P Ramachandra Rao and Parlaiament members and legislators met Mr Singh.
Mr Singh left for New Delhi in the evening.
