Digvijay has proof against Telangana Police

Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council and senior Congress leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir today alleged that the TRS government failed to live up to its promises made in its election manifesto.

Addressing the media at Gandhi Bhavan   on Saturday, Shabbir Ali alleged that TRS government failed to develop Hyderabad city as promised. He said poor planning by the State government led to depreciating Swacch Bharat ranking of city compared to previous year. He said, “Hyderabad’s Swacch Bharat ranking dropped to 22nd position whereas Vizag stands at 3rd and Tirupathi at 9th position.”

He pointed out that the MA&UD Minister had promised to develop Hyderabad on lines of New York, Dallas and Istanbul, but miserably failed. He challenged KTR for a debate  on  three years City development. He said the GHMC was not   ready with contingency plan for monsoon season, road development programs not started and the drinking water problem still exists,  he alleged.

Recalling the work done during Congress governments, he said whatever the progress was visible in Hyderabad today was the result of Rs one lakh crore projects sanctioned by then government.

Accusing the State government of failing in every sector, Shabbir Ali said health sector was ailing. Every day there are news reports about deaths of pregnant women and children besides reports that fungus was found in saline bottle at Koti hospital, why government not reacting to any of the issues.  Stating that Chief Minister KCR was issuing statements from Prgathi Bhavan, Shabbir Ali said the people are fed up with family rule in the State.

Responding to a question on the statement given by Digvijaya Singh on Police website, Ali said Digvijay has sufficient evidence on his comments and he accepted the challenge of TRS. He will furnish details to the investigation agency, he said.(NSS)
