Differently-abled seek proper pensions

Hyderabad, July 24: The Vikalangula Hakkula Porata Samithi (VHPS) has demanded that the government grant the pension for differently-abled persons based on the degree of their deformity.

In a statement, the VHPS founding president Manda Krishna Madiga has also urged the State government to increase the 30 per cent subsidy on par with the SC/ST category people.

“The government should bring Disabled Atrocities (prevention) Act on the lines of SC/ST Atrocities (Prevention) Act.

These people should also be co-opted into the local bodies,” Krishna Madiga said.
