Hyderabad, September 06: It was a day of celebration and show of gratitude as students came together to celebrate Teachers’ Day in various schools and colleges on Monday by organising a host of programmes. The academics received their due share of respect from the student community. Teacher’s Day was celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm at Hyderabad Public School. Students came dressed as teachers and donned the roles of their mentors to conduct mock classes. Later a colourful cultural programme was organised by the students. Students were all excited as they exchanged their roles with the teachers on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. “We celebrated Teachers’ Day by giving a break to our mentors today. We really love our teachers for making us learn values and disciplines,” said Dheeraj, class XI student. Adding to this, a student from Lotus Lap Public School said, “The sole reason to play as teachers is to have a feel of the burden they carry on their shoulders everyday before they take a class.”
