Jalna, August 08: Differences between Shiv Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) cropped up, when Sena boy clotted public meeting addressed by BJP leader Gopinath Munde at Partur tehsil today.
Munde came to Partur to address a public meting of farmers. When reporters asked Munde about absence of Sena leaders, Munde said that the BJP and Sena have alliance and they would fight together in the coming Assembly elections.
It may be noted that the Sena leader and MLC Suresh Jethliya, MLA Arjun Khotkar and BJP MLA Babanrao Lonikar have locked horns over local elections. They pulled each other and made allegations on different issues. Their relations had been strained since then. That is why activists and leaders of Sena did not attend Munde’s meeting today.
Addressing the meeting, Munde lambasted the Democratic Front Government for plight of farmers in the state. He said the state government has no moral right to remain in power and it must quit now. It has failed miserably on all major fronts.
He said, the government became insensitive and did not solve problems of farmers. Shortage of drinking water, unavailability of fertilizers and drought like situation have aggravated the condition of farmers. He predicted thatBJP-Sena would come to power and the Congress-NCP would face humiliating defeat
