Differences in Congress leaders of Seema Andhra are being exposed slowly. Some leaders opine that if A.P. State is not kept United, Kurnool and Anantapur should be merged with Telangana and Rayalaseema State should be constituted. Mr. J.C. Divakar Reddy, former Minister is on the forefront of this demand to be submitted to Anthony Committee. Seema Andhra leaders of Congress have reached Delhi to present this demand. Some leaders feel that Ms. Sonia Gandhi will not withdraw this decision. In the event of bifurcation of the State, some leaders of Kurnool and Anantapur are not prepared to go with Seema Andhra. They say that if Telangana State is formed, there will be shortage of water for Kurnool and Anantapur districts. Leaders of Seema Andhra are advising Mr. Diwakar Reddy not to take any decisions in haste. They are pressurizing him to persuade Congress High Command to take back its decision. Seema Andhra leaders of Congress have approached Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy to persuade Mr. Divakar Reddy. Mr. Shailajanath, Minister for Primary Education told that like any other political party, Congress has taken this decision but Central Govt. has not yet taken any final decision. We are therefore making a representation to Congress High Command to revise its decision and we hope that this decision may be changed. When asked about Rayala Telangana and the status of Hyderabad, He said that he has not proposals for this. What they want is an integrated A.P. State.
