Madarihat (West Bengal) : Raking up the recent episode of an under construction flyover collapsing in North Kolkata’s Girish Park area, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday training his guns on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and alleged that it was an ‘act of fraud’.
Prime Minister Modi stated that the TMC chief was busy putting the blame on the Left instead of trying to help the victims when the Vivekananda Bride in North Kolkata.
“When the bridge collapsed, they said it’s an act of God. This is not act of God.this is an act of fraud. God has sent a message that the bridge collapsed and gradually she will destroy the whole of Bengal. Bengal’s glory won’t return until it is being freed from the two (TMC and Left),” he said.
Prime Minister Modi also taunted Mamata for her close ties with Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
“When the government calls a meeting to discuss important issues, Mamata Banerjee does not attend that meeting. But whenever she comes to Delhi, she definitely meets Sonia ji. I cannot understand this relation.When Didi comes to Delhi, she definitely seeks the blessings of Sonia ji,” Prime Minister Modi said while addressing a rally here.
“Instead of ‘Maa, Maati, Manush’, the people only heard ‘killing’ and ‘money’ in the last five years. In the name of tea gardens, this government is doing politics with the companies,” he added.
Prime Minister Modi alleged that neither the Left nor Mamata Banerjee-led TMC Government talk about development and only trade charges of rape, corruption and violence on each other.
“Bengal has seen dangerous images of the Left and the Trinamool Congress. Bengal was strong, powerful and glorious. But now, the Left, the Congress and now the Trinamool have destroyed Bengal. Neither the Left nor the Trinamool can save your future,” he said.
Promising to work for the poor, Prime Minister Modi said intruders from Bangladesh will have to leave Bengal as the youth deserves employment.
The polling for the first phase of West Bengal assembly elections took place on April 4.
The poll percentage for the first phase of the assembly election was 80.92 percent.
The second part of the first phase of polling will take place on April 11.
While Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress is battling the joint salvo of the unofficial Left- Congress alliance, the BJP too is looking to make a dent in the region.
Polling for the second phase will be held on April 17, the third phase on April 21, fourth on April 25 and the fifth and six phases on April 30 and May 5 respectively.
The counting of votes will take place on May 19. (ANI)
