Diamond jubilee celebrations of Aga Khan held in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The golden jubilee celebrations of the 49th Imam of Ismaili Shia Muslims, Prince Kareem Aga Khan were celebrated in Hyderabad on 11th July. In these celebrations, representatives of Ismaili community from more than 25 countries participated. The partners of Aga Khan Development Network also joined the celebrations. These celebrations are held on the basis of moral values and peaceful coexistence.

During the past 6 decades, Aga Khan transformed the lifestyles of crores of Ismaili persons throughout the world. He worked for the financial empowerment of the members of the community, their health and education. He also worked for improving the lifestyles of the people residing in some of the remote parts of the world. Prince Aga Khan is the religious head of 15 million Ismaili Muslims residing in South Africa, Central Asia, Eastern Europe and North America. He was made Imam of this sect 60 years back when he was only 20 years old. He succeeded his grandfather, Sir Sultan Mohammed Shah Aga Khan.
