Mumbai, August 26: Four foreign nationals, arrested for allegedly stealing diamonds worth Rs 6.6 crore in a daring heist at a jewellery show here, were today brought from Dubai and remanded in police custody even as an international lookout notice was issued for their fugitive accomplice.
Police said preliminary investigations have revealed that the group was involved in similar incidents in Hamburg and several other countries.
The four accused, including a woman, were produced before a metropolitan court which remanded them in police custody till September 4. The police have recovered 245 pieces of diamond from them.
The accused have been identified as Guerrero Lugo Elivia Grissel (24), a woman, Campos Molan Elias (39), Gonzalez Maldonado Mauricio (24) and Gutierez Orlando (30). The first three are Mexicans and fourth from Venezuela.
