Dhumal appeals to make HP carbon-neutral state

Shimla, October 25: In a bid to make Himachal Pradesh a carbon-neutral state, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today called upon representatives of panchayati raj institutions, NGOs and residents to create awareness among the people on the issue.

Dhumal made the appeal while addressing stakeholders ‘Interaction and Training Meet’ on community-led assessment awareness advocacy and action programme (CLAP) for environment protection and carbon neutrality.

The state had taken many steps for environment protection which have been appreciated not only within the country but also internationally, he said.
