New Delhi: India’s most successful ODI captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has beaten football superstars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi to secure ninth place as the world’s ‘ most marketable athlete ‘ by the London School of Marketing.
The 34-year-old was ranked below world number one tennis player Novak Djokovic, with Swiss tennis ace Roger Federer topping the Top 20 list.
Former world number one golfer Tiger Woods was named as the second most marketable sportsperson, while Rory McIlroy came in sixth.
Dhoni also surpassed the likes of Maria Sharapova, Usain Bolt, Neymar, Floyd Mayweather and Andy Murray. (ANI)
