A court here on Monday awarded life imprisonment to five men who have been found guilty in the abduction and gang-rape of a 30-year-old call centre executive in 2010.
The court convicted the men in the case on October 14. The quantum of punishment was announced today.
Additional Sessions Judge Virender Bhat awarded the life imprisonment to the five convicts — Shamshad alias Khutkan, Usman alias Kale, Shahid alias Chhota Billi, Iqbal alias Bada Billi and Kamruddin.
The court has also slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 each against the convicts, who were present in the court during the pronouncement of the judgment.
