Dharna On April 17, Demanding Total Prohibition

Hyderabad, April 12: Telangana Auto Drivers Joint Action Committee has decided to stage a dharna on April 17 at Indira Park here demanding enforcement of total prohibition, ban on Gutka and stern measures to stop corruption in the country.

In a press statement here today, Mr Mohd. Amanullah Khan, convenor, welcomed the demand of the social activist Anna Hazare that the corrupt persons should be hanged to death. He said that consumption of liquor is the mother of all evils and decried that the Congress leaders who claim to be the followers of Gandhian principles have totally forgotten the need to root out this social evil first. He felt that enforcement of prohibition would only make the fight against corruption in the country much easier. He also said that the people of the country do not want development without human values and moral values.

Mr Khan also announced his decision to undertake fast unto death at New Delhi from October 2, along with his supporters demanding enforcement of total prohibition, ban on Gutka, along with stern measures to stop corruption in the country.
