Mumbai, March 01: After years of speculation, Dharmendra and daughter Esha Deol will act with each other in a film. And who better than Hema Malini to bring them together?
The yesteryear actress-turned-director, who is relaunching her daughter Esha with Tell Me Oh Khuda, wanted husband Dharmendra to play Esha’s on-screedn dad. After much persuasion, he has finally agreed to do so. Dharmendra is currently shooting for Yamla Pagla Deewana in Punjab.
Dharmendra and Hema Malini were a popular jodin in the 1970s and ’80s. They gave several hits like Dreamgirl, Sholay and Pratigya. Dharmendra has acted with his sons from his first marriage – Sunny and Bobby Deol – in Anil Sharma’s Apne and there are plans to bring them together again. However, this is the first time he will act with Esha.
Tell Me Oh Khuda follows Esha’s character as she goes in search of her real parents. Esha has a deglam look in the film and even learnt to ride a camel in Rajasthan’s desert for the film.
