Dharmana Resumes Duties As Minister

Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, who had tendered his resignation following the CBI inquiry into his role in the YSRCP Chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s alleged illegal assets case, appeared in his chamber in the Secretariat and resumed his activities on Thursday.

Dharmana, who was maintaining distance from his office for several months, today held a review meeting with the higher officials concerned. Rumors doing rounds at Secretariat that Dharmana resumed his office as the day is ‘Bheeshma Ekadashi’, a good day according to Hindu tradition. After review meeting, it is learnt that, Dharmana signed on several files too.

It may be recalled that Dharmana said in the past that he would not attend the office unless he came out clean from the cases after tendering resignation to his Minister post though the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy had not accepted and not even rejected it. More so, the State Government has extended its hand by sanctioning funds to argue his case.

It is learnt that Dharmana had decided to attend his job on the request of the Chief Minister as the case was in the Court and till the judgment delivered. (NSS)
