Director General of Police V Dinesh Reddy has assured that the department would give priority to the welfare and recognition of constables in the New Year.
Participating in the meeting with the senior police officials here on Thursday, the DGP discussed several key issues including Law & order, Safety at Airports, speeding up of investigations, maintenance of Police Stations and construction of new police stations, Bi-annual medical check-up or Master check-up of all employees eligible or identified, strengthening of Railway Police, filling up of vacancies and prompt attending to the grievances of public.
The DGP has appreciated the policemen for the prompt work done during the last year. He profusely commended them for doing the task entrusted. While asking all the officials to be vigilant, he hoped that the newly posted DSPs would work efficiently.
Dinesh Reddy also stressed the need for continuous monitoring of visual policing, Highway patrolling, recording of each and every case and noting in case of not able to with reasons and taking deterrent action on the erring staff and chasing them.
While extending New Year greetings, the DGP has appealed to his colleagues to combine task with vision next year.
