Full time DGP Mahender Reddy today called on Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan here. Mahender Reddy made a courtesy call on the chief minister on being appointed full time DGP with the government issuing orders. He was the in charge DGP till a few days ago. At KCR’s directive the government has issued orders appointing him as the full time DGP.
It may be mentioned here that during the budget session of the State Assembly, a Bill has been passed empowering the State Government to appoint its DGP. Mahender Reddy also called on Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan.(NSS)
