DGP inaugurates training programme on “Cyber Security and Cashless Transactions”

Director General of Police Anurag Sharma on Tuesday inaugurated the three-day training programme on “Cyber security and Cashless Transactions” for the Police personnel’s  of all Commissionerates  and districts and of Telangana.

CID IGP Dr. Soumya Mishra welcomed the gathering consisting of the Telangana police officers the eminent speakers from the field of cyber crimes.  She stated that in Telangana Police Department there has been a silent revolution of technology in every department of policing.  She said that the DGP has been leading a path-breaking use of technology for ensuing public safety citizen partnership and improved service delivery by police.

In his speech, Anurag Sharma informed that we have to move towards cashless economy in which the Telangana Government took the step to move into the cashless society.  He emphasized that the police have to outrun the cyber criminals and educate the general public especially in rural areas and as well as police personnel.  He said that the police personnel were being given training on how to investigate the cyber crime cases and how to prevent and take precautions in cyber crime frauds.

The DGP also said that due to online cyber payments, the entire police force should acquire necessary skills to investigate, detect, collect and present digital evidence in the Court of Law. He also said that Telangana Police  are planning to set up new cyber crime labs in  all the  districts and Commissionerates  including those that are newly formed.

The DGP appreciated the efforts of Dr. Soumya Mishra for initiating the three day training programme, which will help for prevention of Cyber Crime frauds in the ever growing technology and spread know how of cash less transactions in these days of demonetization.

Experts including Anuj Agarwal, Ranga Chary, Jiten Jain, Krishna, Chaitanya and other officials also addressed the training programme. (INN)
