Andhra Pradesh DGP J.V. Ramudu inaugurated iClick online kiosk at Tada on Sunday morning, in the presence of Sri City Chairman C. Sriniraju and Managing Director Ravindra Sannareddy.
The iClick system, located adjacent to the local State Bank of India branch, was set up with the funds given by Sri City.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramudu said, “People can lodge complaints by sending the scanned copies of written text or can take the help of an assistant to type their complaint in the iClick kiosk itself.” “The complaint from iClick centres would go to the main server at Hyderabad and would be redirected to the district SP and police stations for action,” he added.
After inaugural function, the DGP along with the senior police officials visited the AP state Integrated check post at Bhimulavani Palem. In the light of the complaints on frequent traffic congestions at the check post he inspected the area. From there, he proceeded to the AP-Tamil Nadu boarder and visited the Tamil Nadu integrated check post being built at Pannamgaru.
For streamlining the traffic congestions and speeding up the transactions at check post, the DGP felt the necessity of expanding the infrastructure and introducing automation.
Guntur Range IG M. Sanjay, Nellore SP Gaja Rao Bhupal and DSP Gudur Srinivas were present on the occasion. (INN)
