DGP appeals for peace in Hyderabad

Director General of Police V Dinesh Reddy on Wednesday appealed to all the communities living in the historic city of Hyderabad, which is known for its “Ganga Jamuni Tehzeeb”, to live in with utmost communal harmony and not to precipitate matters on minor issues which are much ado about nothing.

In an appeal, the DGP said that whenever there was contentious issue faced by any one community, the community elders or their representatives may seek the redressal of their grievances by representing to the concerned authorities like Hyderabad Collector, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, etc.,

who would take final call. He asked people not to take law into their hands and do what is not legal as they have to keep it in mind that nobody is allowed to do policing when there is vibrant city police available here which is available to the needs of the Hyderabadis.
