DGCA orders probe into Kingfisher aircraft incident in Mumbai

New Delhi, November 11: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) today ordered a probe into the incident of a Kingfisher Airlines aircraft skidding on a wet runway while landing at the Mumbai airport.

The directorate ordered an investigation into the incident, DGCA officials said here.

The airline also launched its own enquiry and derostered both pilots of the turbo-prop ATR plane till it was over, DGCA and Kingfisher Airlines officials said.

The plane, with 42 passengers and four crew on board, overshot the rain-soaked runway as it landed. All passengers and crew were safe and evacuated from the aircraft.
