TNGOs Union president K Deviprasad today clarified that he thought of contesting for Medak Lok Sabha bypoll.
Talking to mediapersons here on Sunday, Deviprasad said, “It is a fact that I wanted to contest this bypoll. However, I withdrew the idea as Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao asked me to do so. Though I had an idea to be in the fray for Medak MP seat, it was the Chief Minister who advised me to be a bridge between the employees and the government instead. Subsequently I dropped that idea”, he maintained. (NSS)
