AP Irrigation minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao today said he would talk with his Telangana counterpart T Harish Rao on power generation in the Srisailam project.
Speaking to the media at Vijayawada on Monday, Devineni said water level in the Srisailam reservoir has come down to 860 feet. The secretaries of Irrigation departments are holding talks on the precarious situation. The AP government has stopped power generation at Srisailam, he added.
Devineni reiterated that his government was committed to waiving of loans of farmers. (NSS)
