Rajya Sabha member Devender Goud today urged the Centre to help Telangana State government in dealing with the drought situation, as the state is facing severe drought this time.
Raising the issue in Rajya Sabha, Goud pointed out that a total of 225 mandals are reeling under severe drought conditions and about 14 lakh people have migrated to other places including neighboring states for their livelihood.
He requested the Centre to extend financial help to the newly created Telangana state to tide over the severe drought situation.(NSS)
