New Delhi : Stating that development is solution to our various problems, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said development can free us from all problems, including poverty and lack of education.
Addressing more than 50,000 students and teachers from 800 educational institutions run by the DAV Group here, the Prime Minister said, “Apart from having certificates in their hands, our youth must be skilled. The Government has taken up several initiatives that will benefit the youth of India and this includes skill development.”
“Over two-crore people have benefitted through MUDRA Yojana. Financial support has been given to people and we have faith in our citizens,” he said while speaking an event organised to mark the 192nd birth anniversary of Arya Samaj founder Swami Dayanand Saraswati at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here on Sunday.
Recalling contributions of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, Prime Minister Modi said, “We should get inspired by great people like Dayananda Saraswati and do something good for the nation.”
“Maharshi Dayananda Saraswati was a revolutionary. He was not one to escape challenges. He fought blind faith as well. Pick up any one idea and work on it…let India’s strength at the world stage increase through that idea you pick,” he said.
The event is being organised by the DAV Management Committee in association with Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Sabha and Arya Pratinidhi Sabha, Haryana, in an effort to acknowledge Swami Dayanand Saraswati’s contribution in introducing the concept of spiritual and value-based education. (ANI)
