Developing Inner Strength

Hyderabad, December 05: One of the qualities that every human being has to develop within himself is strength. Not just the physical strength, though that is one part of it, but mental strength.

The strength to achieve anything one wants. The strength to face different challenges life has to offer.

And the strength to remain calm through adversities. This is what I call inner strength. It is the basic confidence and power that a man feels within himself. Without this man becomes powerless. He becomes a victim of life and feels everything to be out of his control.

It is an inner sense of security which can stand the test of time as well as situations which I call as the true strength of an individual.

The ancient Yogis were the greatest psychologists as they believed in the power of the human mind much before the west became aware of all its possibilities.

All achievements begin with a thought, a feeling, or faith. Yoga is nothing but the art of channeling your energy and focussing it towards anything. As long as you are wasting your energy and allowing it to dissipate you will never have strength or will power.

Purifying your system, increasing your energy and focussing it is all part of yogic practice.

Hence Yoga is the only science which uses muscles as much as breath, pressure and hormonal balance in order to bring about a complete transformation.

Here are a few practices that will increase your energy levels, develop strength and will power and bring clarity to your whole mind, as mind without clarity is like a an aircraft without direction.

To find direction, the only way is through silence. Unless you become totally silent you will be fluttering from one thought to another thought. Yoga is the art of being centered so that when you move into action, it becomes fruitful.
