Develop Vemulawada Master Plan: KTR

Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao today directed the officials concerned to prepare a master plan to develop Vemulawada to become a temple town with greenery and improving related ambience with all facilities. The Minister held a review meeting on Vemulawada Temple Development Authority at Assembly committee hall with officials here. The plan should be prepared to develop the town in all aspects through temple development authority with a vision. Nearby villages and submerging villages should be brought under plan and the temple town and stretches of roads should have sculptures of Kings Chola and Chalukya era he said.

The Master Plan should comprise targets for 5,10 and 25 years and take up required developmental works with facilities and infrastructure. He said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will go through the plans of the authority very soon. The minister asked to set up a separate nala and divert its sewage water from joining the temple lake which should be developed into a beauty and tourist spot with lush green and serene atmosphere with facilities to meander. KTR also instructed the officials to study to set up a cable car from bus stand to the temple and provide free bus (electric) for the devotees coming to the temple. Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar will inspect the field level works of the plan he said. MLA Ramesh said that the works are going on fast pace and submitted the proposals of Rs 43 cr for development works of fire station, hill development and cemetery. (NSS)
