Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao today said that Hyderabad will be developed into a global city with all facilities by collective efforts. He held a review meeting on the city development and discussed on Malkajgiri Constituency development plan at Metro Rail Bhavan. Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy, MP Malla Reddy, MLAs, MLCs, Mayor B Rammohan, Commissioner Janardhan Reddy and other officials were present.
The Minister said that regular review meetings will help speed up the programs of city development. The Minister spoke on road works, double bedroom scheme, water works, SRDP works and new works taken up under various schemes in the constituency. KTR asked for active coordination among the leaders and officials for smooth and speedy completion of the works with focus on quality and standards. About 40000 houses under double bedroom scheme are being constructed in Malkajgiri segment he said. The slum dwellers or the poor who vacated their temporary huts or houses will get the houses under the scheme he clarified. We will offer priority to construct the new houses in near vicinity by setting up catchment areas he said. The officials were directed to prepare an action plan and submit to the government on the city development plan to make the best among others. He also said that water board will take the job of supplying drinking waters to cantonment area.
