Deve Gowda undergoes surgery for fracture

Bangalore, July 11: Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda today underwent a surgery after he fractured his left hand as he fell at his residence.

Gowda fractured his hand after he slipped and fell at his residence. He was immediately taken to a private hospital where surgery was performed.

“I woke up at about 1.30 am. When I pushed the door (of the bathroom), I lost balance and fell,” Gowda told newsmen here.

The 76-year-old JD(S) chief, after a couple of hours rest, presided over the JD(S) legislature party meeting.
