Bangalore, January 13: After Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa and advocate-general Ashok Harnahalli, it is the turn of NICE owner Ashok Kheny to get a taste of former prime minister HD Deve Gowda’s diatribe.
On Tuesday, Deve Gowda described Kheny as the kingpin of land-grabbers, someone more dangerous than fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
Addressing farmers at Bidadi in Ramanagara district during an agitation against BMIC project, Gowda said:
“If Dawood is kingpin for the underworld, Kheny is the leader of land-grabbers.” Supporters of Gowda at Bannikuppe village gathered in such numbers that Mysore Road was blocked; stalled traffic lined the road for 3km.
