The civilization of India is exemplary and Urdu is associated with it. The community should realize the importance of the language.
Language and Literature could be promoted by the poets and writers of a language because they possess sensitive temperament . There is less development of Urdu in Anantapur but there has been an awareness among the people here and they are planning for the development of Urdu in this district.
They are arranging literacy sessions. They have decided to set up a branch of Anjuman-e-Taraqui-e-Urdu.
These thoughts were expressed by the retired professor of Sri Venkateshwara University, Trupathi, Dr. Basher Ahmed while addressing the Library Week Celebrations here.
Maulana Rafeeq Ahmed told that Urdu should be written on all the sign boards and also on RTC buses in addition to offices in the district,
All the organizations, parents, guardians and students should work jointly for the development of Urdu.
The Chairman of District Central Library, Prof. Basheer Ahmed garlanded all the poets and the guests and presented citations to them.
He told that the tradition of Musharias is continuing in the district.

Mr. Shahid, Mr. Sattar Faizi, Mr. Maqbool Ahmed Maqbool, Mr. Shakeel Arif Ahmed from Kadapah and Mr. Tajuddin, Dr. Shareef, Mr.Nabi Rasool,Mr. Hidayathullah Fahmi, Mr.Osman Shaheen Biyabani and Noor Bashir from Kadiri (Anantapur) recited their poems in the Mushaira, Congress leader Mr. Khaja Babu Miyan, Mr. Fakhruddin, District President and others attended the meeting.
