Destroy illegal wealth, give it to poor: FM

Exhorting the youth to destroy system of discrepancy among poor and the rich Finance Minister E Rajender today stressed the need for dedicating the wealth to the people by destroying the assets of the rich who are amassing wealth of sea and soil through illegal means.

At a program here the minister, referring to Gali Janardhan Reddy and others who swindled public money, vouched for destroying the wealth of those who have illegal money. While some people get golden chairs, utensils and spend Rs 500 cr to perform marriage of their children, the common man is grappling to draw Rs 500 at banks and ATMs he bemoaned. Drawing a comparison he expressed concern that some people are picking up rags at the dust bins while the rich are minting money in crores using loopholes in the system. Stating that development is not just roads, flyovers and buildings, he said that real growth is possible when the fruits of development reach the poorest of the poor, increase in human values and patriotism. The black money has telling impact on the society and the Centre is yet to settle the score he observed. (NSS)
