Mumbai, July 15: He has snubbed them, tried to overlook them and even called them some fancy names but now Akshay Kumar wants to please his ever so critical critics.
The macho actor wants to win their approval so much that he has resorted to pleading to earn good reviews for his craft from the analytical bunch. Shooting for an ad commercial in Malaysia the actor in a desperate plea to woo critics told reporters, “I hope my critics will like me at least in this ad”.
Looks like Akshay is having some time gulping down harsh remarks for his money-churning yet dud films. Even though his latest offering ‘Kambakkht Ishq’ did send cash registers ringing, it was dubbed as a senseless sloppy film by the critics – a review not gone down too well with Akshay.
And after trying every trick to get critics on his side, the actor has now decided to please them by pleading them.
Speaking to reporters, the actor said, “I’m shooting an ad for a cola in Malaysia. It’s very different from all the ads that I’ve done Akshay Kumar so far. No action this time. It’s a nice, soft and gentle ad. I hope my critics will like me at least in this ad,”
Defending the trashy response his film received from the critics, Aksahy said, “The same aggressive tu tu main main in Hangover got 4- and 5- star rating while my film was treated so shabbily”.
Well, it’s time Akshay stops pleading and starts doing some meaningful cinema to give an apt reply to his critics.
