Hyderabad: The desire to ride an Audi sent a youth behind bars in Hyderabad as police arrested him for stealing the luxury car.
Police arrested 28-year-old Mohammed Nazeer from Mumbai, where he escaped after leaving the car at the Hyderabad airport as he had no money to buy fuel.
Nazeer, who was working as driver for Russell Zaheer, director of Russell Spoken English Institutes, escaped with the car on November 12. The owner filed a police complaint.
Following investigation, police found the car in the parking area at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and finally arrested the man in Mumbai.
Nazeer told police he had the desire of driving the car on the PVNR Expressway during night hours. After stealing the car, he used the same route to the airport for two days. To meet fuel expenses, he also used to pick up passengers on the expressway.
After running out of money, he left the car in the airport’s parking area and escaped to Mumbai.
